Duolingo-Style Character Animations Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m putting together a small mascot set for an app and need the first draft of three bright, vibrant, Duolingo-inspired characters animated in either Rive or Lottie.
Scope
Two simple mascots:
• Duck
• Otter
Each of them should loop smoothly through three states: Greeting, Celebrate and Upset.
One feature mascot:
• Snow Leopard
This character needs six clear states: Greeting, Celebrate, Encourage/Cheer, Upset, Thumbs-Up, Head-Shake/Nod.
Visual tone
Everything should feel friendly and playful, with the same punchy colour energy the Duolingo owl uses. While I want the overall vibe instantly recognisable to users of that style, the shapes, proportions and facial features should still read as unique and original.
Deliverables
• Source files in Rive (.riv) or Lottie/Bodymovin JSON, layered and editable
• Short exported GIF/MP4 previews of every state (transparent background)
• A simple style guide page listing hex colours and any reusable motion curves
Acceptance
I’ll consider the draft complete once each animation:
1. Loops seamlessly at 30 fps
2. Holds its silhouette clearly at mobile-screen size (≈200 px tall)
3. Keeps within the agreed friendly/playful moodboard
If you can share one or two relevant character rigs you’ve built in Rive or Lottie, that will speed up selection. Let’s bring these mascots to life!
