Create 2D Preschool Cartoon Episodes
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m gearing up to launch a series of short, 3-to-5–minute 2D cartoons designed specifically for preschoolers (ages 3-6). The look I’m after is bright, lively, and unmistakably cartoonish—think bold shapes, expressive characters, and a colour palette that instantly hooks young eyes.
Here’s the journey I’d like us to take together:
• Concept-to-screen pipeline – From script and storyboard through animatics, character sheets, rough and clean animation, colouring, compositing, sound design, and final mastering. If you have a tried-and-tested workflow in Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, After Effects, or a comparable toolset, let me know how you typically structure each stage and where you might need input or approvals from my side.
• Cost clarity – Please break down your pricing per episode so I can see what each phase adds to the total, plus any savings for larger batches.
• Timeline flexibility – There’s no hard deadline, so quality wins over speed. Let me know a realistic turnaround for one episode, as well as how that scales once a production rhythm is established.
• Deliverables – I’ll need the final video in 1080p (or higher if feasible), layered project/source files, and separate audio stems so future localisation stays simple.
If you’ve already produced vibrant 2D content for this age bracket, share links; watching your previous work will help me gauge fit instantly. I’m open to either end-to-end production or collaborating with my own writer and composer if that suits your workflow better.
Let’s discuss how you approach preschool storytelling, outline your production steps, and pin down a budget structure that works for both of us.
