Consult on 2D Vampire Series
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’ve written a seven-episode script for a digital 2D animated series that follows a human accidentally summoned into a land ruled by vampires, only to discover a growing underground of fellow humans plotting the vampires’ downfall.
Before we dive into production, I want to sit down—virtually—and map everything out with an experienced animator. The finished show will be animated at 12 FPS, with backgrounds that feel alive yet remain moderate in their level of detail so the characters stay in focus. My workflow idea is straightforward: once you’ve read each episode script, you create storyboards, I approve them, then we move to full animation. All seven episodes should ultimately be completed as one cohesive batch, but for now I just need to talk through how we’ll make that happen.
What I’d like from our initial engagement:
• A clear production plan that covers software pipelines (Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or a comparable tool), asset tracking, and file-delivery standards.
• An episode-by-episode timeline with milestones for storyboard approval and final delivery.
• A ballpark estimate of the effort required so I can align my budget and resources in advance.
Character designs will be supplied only after you’ve absorbed the scripts and we’re both confident about the direction. No artwork or animation begins until we’re both satisfied with the plan.
If you have a solid track record in digital 2D series work, enjoy collaborative world-building, and can advise on keeping twelve-frame animation snappy without sacrificing quality, let’s start the conversation.
