Classic 2D Character Design

I’m developing a new cartoon concept and the first milestone is to bring its cast to life in a warm, Classic 2D animation style. The job centres on designing a small group of memorable characters—from rough exploratory sketches right through to polished turnaround sheets, expression charts and colour references that can slide straight into production.

Please ground your proposal in evidence: share links or attachments that showcase past work on similar 2D character designs. Seeing how you handle proportions, line quality and personality at a glance will help me gauge fit quickly.

While the immediate focus is character creation, I may roll voice work and story development into later phases, so versatility in those areas is a welcomed bonus but not a requirement for this stage.

Deliverables

• Front, side, back and ¾ turnarounds for each character
• Expression and pose sheets that highlight personality
• Final high-resolution files in layered PSD or vector format, plus web-ready PNGs
