Children’s Drama Storytelling & Animation

I’m developing a 2D animated piece for children and I want to get the narrative absolutely right before anything else. The genre is drama—think heartfelt conflicts and satisfying resolutions, all kept light enough for young viewers.

We’ll begin with the story: a clear three-act structure, lively child-friendly dialogue, and a concise story bible that captures theme, tone and character arcs. Once the script sings, we can move on to visual development—background design that reinforces the emotional beats—and ultimately to full 2D animation and voice-over production. If you’re comfortable handling those later stages as well, great, but for now the priority is crafting an engaging, age-appropriate dramatic tale.

• Brief character descriptions and mood references for background design
