Cartoonish Card Game & Box Illustrations

Job ID: 39867201

Budget: $150 – $300 USD

The game mechanics are locked in; now I’m ready to give it a face. I need a playful, cartoon-style visual package that captures “small-town” everyday life while occasionally slipping in a memorable 1980s car.

Scope
• One universal card front (2.5 × 3.5 in / 63 × 88 mm).
• Thirteen unique card backs, each describing its different in-game power yet bound together by a cohesive palette and layout.
• A two-piece lid-and-bottom box that echoes the card art so it feels like part of the same world.

Creative direction
– Illustrations should feel warm, family-friendly, and hand-drawn rather than vector-slick.
– Everyday life scenes—Small town Speed Trap, Church Pot Luck Dinner, U-Turn, Mechanic Checking Under the Hood of the Car, Car's engine having trouble, and why not throw in a Magical Clown!?
– The 80s car can roll through a scene, be driving down the road, driving through a drive-thru, or appear in signage; it shouldn’t steal every frame.
– Colors must reproduce cleanly in CMYK and remain legible at poker-card scale.

Deliverables
• Print-ready files (AI or layered PSD) with 3 mm bleed and crop marks.
• High-res PNGs/JPEGs for digital previews.
• Editable text layers for late rule tweaks on the box.

I’ll supply prototype sample cards, die-lines, and power descriptions once we connect. If a short storyboard or mood board helps you kick off, include it in your bid and we’ll count it as Milestone 1. Looking forward to seeing how you bring this little town—and its iconic car—to life.
