Cartoon Kids Comic Illustrator
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am creating a landscape 8.5" × 11" children’s comic for Amazon KDP. The book blends three short stories—about ten pages each—into a single, premium-colour issue of roughly 30 interior pages plus a bright, inviting cover.
Style & tone
Everything should read as cartoonish, funny and completely child-friendly. Bold shapes, clear expressions and vibrant palettes keep the humour front and centre while still leaving room for speech bubbles and captions.
Creative freedom
There are no existing model sheets or reference boards; you define the cast, the settings and the visual language, so long as characters stay recognisable from panel to panel. Do have a sample character image that I would like to use for the stories.
Technical specifics
• Trim: 8.5" × 11" (landscape), full-bleed, 300 dpi
• Interior: 24–30 fully illustrated pages with backgrounds, speech-bubble space and consistent lettering placement
• Cover: front, spine and back combined in one spread
• Final delivery: print-ready PDF that passes KDP’s submission checker plus layered source files (PSD or equivalent)
Workflow
Once I supply the scripts, I’ll review rough thumbnails, then pencils, then coloured finals before export to PDF. Good communication at each milestone matters; this is the pilot issue of a longer series.
