Bright Slapstick Kids Comic Series
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
NOTE: Only applicants with relevant experience and a proven cartoon/comic portfolio will be considered. Please make sure to include samples of your previous comic or cartoon work with your application.
The scripts for my children’s comic are ready; now I’m eager to see them burst off the page in a bright, cartoon–style world packed with humor and slapstick energy. I need an artist who can design a cast of young boys with huge expressions and unique costumes, then carry that exaggerated personality through every panel so readers feel each pratfall, eye-pop, and dizzy star swirl.
Here’s what I’d like you to create:
• Final character sheets that lock in proportions, palettes, big facial reactions, and those signature outfits (distinctive accessories are a bonus if they serve the gag).
• Fully finished comic pages and panel layouts that keep the pacing quick and the jokes front-and-center. Humor and slapstick come first; action beats or deeper moments can follow once the laugh lands.
• A single, cohesive visual style—bright,, and instantly appealing—applied consistently across the entire series.
I value clear communication and collaborative brainstorming. Share rough sketches, thumbnails, or animatics early so we can tweak timing, comedy beats, and color choices together. Final files should arrive layered and print-ready (PSD, Clip Studio, or high-res PNGs).
