Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I have an early concept for a children’s-book character rooted in Australian culture, yet every AI image generator I try keeps missing the mark on the look I’m after. I’d like a designer who can take my rough references and turn them into a polished, cartoonish character whose visual appearance is instantly lovable, consistent and print-ready for picture-book layouts.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Refined concept sketches that lock in proportions, colours and iconic Aussie details
• A turnaround sheet (front, side, back, ¾) showing clear expressions and poses
• Final high-resolution files in layered PSD or AI plus a transparent PNG set for quick mock-ups
If you’re comfortable steering Midjourney, Stable Diffusion or a similar AI tool to generate exploratory ideas—and then finishing the artwork in Procreate, Illustrator or Photoshop—that’s ideal. I’m looking to establish a visual style I can carry through multiple books, so there’s real potential for ongoing illustration work once this hero character is nailed.
