Anime-Type Storyboard & Animation -- 2
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m developing a short-form 2D anime project aimed squarely at an adult audience and I need a versatile artist who can take it from blank page to fully animated, emotionally charged scene. The core of the job is twofold: first, shape the narrative visually through a clear, panel-by-panel storyboard; then breathe life into it with smooth, colourful animation that heightens the drama rather than overpowering it.
What you’ll actually be doing
• Draft a full storyboard that captures pacing, camera moves, and character acting for a dramatic tone.
• Produce clean line art, rich backgrounds, and a bold yet tasteful colour palette that reads well on screen.
• Animate the sequence in a recognisably anime style—fluid character motion, expressive facial acting, and dynamic effects where the emotion peaks.
You’re free to work in whichever 2D pipeline you prefer (Toon Boom Harmony, TVPaint, Photoshop + After Effects, Clip Studio, etc.) as long as the final export meets 1080p, 24 fps standards and arrives in layered project files plus a rendered H.264 or ProRes master.
Acceptance criteria
• Storyboard: PDF or image sequence, clear staging, numbered panels.
• Rough cut/animatic: synced to the provided audio track.
• Final animation: colour-corrected, no visible artefacts, duration matching the animatic to the frame.
• All working files included so future revisions are possible.
If emotionally resonant, adult-focused anime is your comfort zone and you enjoy putting colour theory and cinematic framing to work, I’d love to see a reel or sample scene that proves it.
