2D Animator for Satirical Automotive Animation
Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD
I am searching for a 2D animator: I run a growing satirical automotive page called Angeles Death Highway (@AngelesDeathHighway on Instagram), focused on Southern California car culture, especially the canyon and weekend meet scene around Angeles Crest Highway.
The content is short-form, fast-paced, and character-driven, built around exaggerated but recognizable personalities in the car scene. Most videos center on dialogue, timing, and strong character archetypes, with humor coming from real-world behavior and interactions.
Up to now, everything has been written and edited by myself, with AI generated visuals supporting the ideas. I’ve recently been commissioned by a high-profile automotive client to produce a fully animated version of the show, so I’m looking to collaborate with an animator to bring this into a proper 2D format.
I am not looking to replicate the current visual style. The direction is a simple, character-driven 2D animation style, something in the spirit of South Park. Timing, expressions, and personality are far more important than polish.
Project:
• ~45 seconds
• 3–5 characters
• Set in Angeles Crest Highway, California
Comedic, fast-paced, character-driven
You will not be responsible for the audio or editing.
