animated history YouTube channel that takes seemingly simple historical questions and digs into them in a compelling, entertaining way. Think: "Did ancient people know they were living in ancient times?" — simple on the surface, fascinating underneath.
The channel uses a consistent retro 1960s Hanna-Barbera cartoon animation style across all content. Scripts, scene illustrations, and voiceover audio are provided — we need a skilled creative to bring it all together and help grow the channel.
The rate is $20 per finished video of 6 or more minutes. Videos will be produced on a rolling basis as scripts are completed with roughly 2 to 4 videos per month as the channel grows. If $20 per video does not work for you please do not apply. Do not message asking to negotiate the rate. We respect your skills and ask that you respect the budget.
We are looking for someone with a clear and engaging voiceover delivery, proven experience in 2D limited animation using tools such as After Effects, Adobe Animate, or Toon Boom, a strong sense of timing and visual storytelling, the ability to strictly replicate a defined visual style, and a self-managed reliable working approach. A passion for history or educational content is a bonus. As the channel grows and monetizes there is genuine potential for an increased rate, creative input on future episodes, and a consistent long-term income stream.
