Animated Dog Adventure Music Video
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 AUD
I’m looking for a skilled animator to bring my 4-minute-45-second song to life. The story follows a dog who escapes an unkind master and sets off on a series of adventures, so the visuals need to shift smoothly between playful whimsy and moments of real tension.
Style & technique
• Primary look: 2D cartoon, with selective 3D elements for depth and dynamic shots.
• Workflow: a combination of hand-drawn and digital animation. Rough pencil passes for charm, polished digitally for consistency.
- I'm looking for a tom and jerry, style cartoon video
What I will supply
• A detailed storyboard (including notes for the emotional beats near the end).
• Reference tracks, timing sheet, and a clear description of each scene’s mood.
What I need from you
• An animatic to lock timing and camera moves.
• Character turnarounds and key background layouts.
• Clean animation, color, lighting, and compositing.
• Two revision rounds at animatic stage and one at colored rough cut.
• Final deliverables: 1080p (or higher) mastered video, separate transparent renders of key elements, and project/source files.
Tools are your choice—Toon Boom, TVPaint, Blender, After Effects, or a hybrid pipeline—so long as you can meet the style and schedule. Clear communication is essential; I’ve already lost time with three false starts, so only apply if you’re confident you can see the project through from first sketch to final export.
If this sounds like the right fit, please share links to comparable narrative or music-driven pieces you’ve completed, outline your proposed workflow, and estimate the timeline you’ll need.
