Animate our Cute Mascot in 2D
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
We are looking for a talented and experienced 2D animator to bring our cute mascot character to life. We have finalized the static character design and have it ready in a symmetrical T-pose (please see attached image), prepared specifically for rigging and animation.
The character design is clean, vector-based, and has been intentionally simplified (specifically the mouth) to ensure smooth and expressive animation.
Scope of Work: We need this character rigged and animated for use in [e.g., a mobile app, a website, marketing videos].
We require the following initial animations (approx. 2-5 seconds each):
Idle Loop: A natural breathing loop with subtle movements (blinking, slight tail sway, ear twitches) to make the character feel alive while standing still.
Walk Cycle Loop: A smooth, cute walking animation.
Happy/Success Reaction: A short, positive animation (e.g., jumping up and down excitedly, raising arms in victory).
Sad/Failure Reaction: A short, negative animation (e.g., drooping ears/tail, looking down sadly).
[Optional: Add any other specific animations you know you need here]
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience in 2D character rigging and animation.
Style: Ability to match the cute, clean line-art style of the provided mascot. The animation should be bouncy, smooth, and full of personality.
Software: We are open to standard industry software (e.g., Adobe After Effects with Duik, Toon Boom, or Spine 2D). Please specify which software you intend to use in your proposal.
Deliverables:
High-quality video files of each animation (e.g., MOV with transparent background or MP4 with solid background).
[If applicable: exported JSON/Atlas files for app integration].
All source files (e.g., .aep, .spine) upon project completion.
To Apply: Please share your portfolio highlighting relevant 2D character animation work, specifically any examples of cute mascots or animals. Please also include a brief estimate of how long these initial four animations would take to complete.
Looking forward to seeing your work!
