African Mythology Animation Team
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 USD
I’m assembling a cross-disciplinary crew for a new animated production rooted in African mythology. The project is in its final funding-approval phase, and our partners and track record give me strong confidence that green-lighting is imminent. I want to lock in talented creatives now so we can move fast once the paperwork clears and, ideally, continue collaborating long after this first season wraps.
What excites me most is bold visual world-building and emotionally charged storytelling. If you share that spark, I’d love to see how you could elevate the look, feel, and sound of the series.
Immediate openings
• Character Design – craft expressive, culturally grounded heroes, spirits, and creatures
• Concept Art & Environment Design – paint the worlds our characters inhabit, from bustling markets to ethereal spirit realms
• Storyboards – translate scripts into dynamic, cinematic sequences that respect pacing and action beats
• Animation – 2D or hybrid animators who can bring fluidity, weight, and personality
• VFX / FX Animation – atmospheric magic, elemental effects, and stylised combat flourishes
• Sound Design – layered ambience, Foley, and original SFX that enrich the on-screen mythos
• Script Editing – tighten dialogue and ensure mythological authenticity
What I need from you
1. A link to your strongest portfolio or showreel (Vimeo, ArtStation, Behance, etc.)
2. A short note on why African mythology or culturally diverse storytelling resonates with you
3. Your typical availability over the next three months
Selection will focus on artistic fit, storytelling instinct, and a collaborative mindset. Final deliverables and schedules will be agreed per discipline once funding releases; however, all preliminary ideation work will be credited and compensated.
Let’s build something powerful together.
