Project Overview
We’re hiring a skilled 2D motion designer to animate a 1-minute video using provided PSD and AI files. The video is for a legal cannabis company and features dynamic animation of text, backgrounds, product shots (both animated and static), and “fake 3D” shapes.
You’ll be working in After Effects, using layered PSD/AI assets. The final project must be well-organized and fully editable for future motion designers.
Scope of Work
One 1-minute animated video:
Kinetic typography
Fast-paced, dynamic motion
Animated product shots and shape transitions
Clean, high-quality animation in line with the provided references
Final Deliverables:
1 MP4 video (approx. 1 min)
2 additional versions of the same video in different sizes
Fully editable After Effects project (including free or provided plugins or tools, such as Blender)
Test Task (Paid)
To move forward, selected candidates will complete a short paid test task.
Test Duration: ~12 seconds (6 frames)
Goal:
Impactful text animation in a kinetic typography style
Dynamic, vibrant transitions and product presentation
Quick pacing and energy aligned with the reference videos
Test Deliverables:
1 MP4 video (approx. 12 seconds)
AE project file
Deadlines:
First draft: Monday, July 21
Final version + AE file: Wednesday, July 23
Final Project Timeline
The full 1-minute video (23 frames) will be due within 2 weeks from the project start date.
