Project Summary
General aspects.
We need to create an augmented reality APP that performs support functions for a local operator during maintenance activities in the industrial sector.
The App will have to acquire information from an external system (system already available).
At the beginning of the maintenance intervention the operator will indicate a code. This code will be passed to a web service that will return a series of information (code of the operator in charge, type of intervention, machine object of the intervention, if a target image of the machine must be registered or not, if there are processes to follow ).
The system we want to create must be able to:
• record the maintenance intervention (audio and video),
• allow the user to interact with a remote expert (operating from a PC),
• allow the remote user to indicate areas of the screen or to superimpose three-dimensional objects or texts on the display area to be shared with the local operator,
• allow the operator (local or remote) to access the contents proposed by the system (predefined contents that will be acquired through web services).
