The coursework concerns with binary information representations and
binary operations inside a computer system. The operations include
arithmetic/logical operations for both integer and floating-point. “Shift” and
“Rotate” operations are also examined. Condition Codes (CC or flags) are used to
detect errors of results in different operations.
The assignment contains six tasks to be completed along with the lab experiments. I am
required to complete the tasks in the attached file with experimental results as well as
comments to the results. The comments could include explanations of the flags,
showing the decimal results, as well as your thoughts with regards to a result and
relevant flags. The six tasks are shown in the attachment. Mark scheme is also included.
