Finalizing Magento project's tasks -- 2
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
MaiAsia (www.maiasiashop.com) is a cross-border e-commerce project in Magento that delivers millions of products from China (www.taobao.com) to Latin American customers, providing a complete solution in terms of shipments, consolidations, taxes and duties. . The website uses an API to obtain all the information of the product in real time, thus showing a huge updated catalog.
In our final stage of development, we are forced to look for a developer who can finish the following tasks:
- Correctly link the products to the categories.
- Correct the "search by image" function to obtain better results: We have a plugin that allows the user to search by photo, but the results are not very precise.
- Automatically assign weights to all products so that MaiAsia can collect shipping rates: MaiAsia charges international freight per kg, so each product must have its corresponding weight assigned. Since doing the manual assignment will be impossible to do over millions of products, an alternative should be found to make it easier to do so. We have an external program that allows you to fill in the data for each product such as weight and measurements, in order to start collecting information and achieve a kind of logic.
- Improve text searches: Currently, the API has a search algorithm that is not very effective and needs to be changed for better results. The same little program mentioned above, is adapted to also be able to improve this point. - Add and configure a recommended and inexpensive chatbot.
- Add a WhatsApp order confirmation for customers: in this way customers can calm their cravings by receiving status of their orders by WhatsApp either with tracking information or some modification.
- Link and finish programming a program that links Magento to the warehouse
so they can verify Magento orders live and upload weights, shipments, consolidations and more. Currently we have that started program saved in GitHub and its function is that the operators can check the status of all the orders and we (admins) can assign various tasks to orders, products and shipments. Warehouse operators need to see the following information:
1) Product name.
2) Quantity of product.
3) TAOBAO tracking number.
4) Order information, such as the order number and how many products the customer bought.
5) Verify the arrival of the product to the warehouse.
On the other hand, warehouse operators will also need to add certain information when products arrive:
A) Size of the order.
B) Weight of the order.

C) Final load dimension
D) Upload images.
