The Current Events Paper is due on Sunday, July 11th.
It is important to remember that the purpose of this project is for you to see how theoretical concepts in the class are manifesting themselves in the real world and things are constantly changing.
To that end it is imperative that you follow the requirement regarding the currency of they articles, which is 3 months before the start of class.
Formatting requirements are in the syllabus and a sample article below that.

The formatting should be as follows:

Your paper will be at least 5 pages in length covering the following chapters: Chapter 3, 4, 6, 8, 13

For each article, you will write 2 paragraphs ( approximately 1 page) that summarizes and connect the article to your textbook and the class.
Your first paragraph will be a synopsis of the article summarizing and pointing out the 3-5 most relevant points followed by a 2nd paragraph that connects the material in the article to a specific concept in the text.
Tell me how it relates to the chapter and why you chose it.
The writeup should be adequate to cover the material in the article and show it’s relevance to the chapter concept(s) you are using it for.
Limit yourself to 1-2 pages on the writeup and be sure it is thorough. Remember to use your own words.
When you cut and paste or copy the words of the author, it is plagarism and considered cheating and will result in a 0 for the assignment along with disciplinary action.
If you are quoting someone else, please use quotes to give them credit for their work.

Please use credible sources not just someone’s blog, but a publication that can be found outside of the Internet.
Also don’t use sources like Chron or others that just regurgitate what we’ve already covered and that is in your book.
This is a chance for you to see actual events taking place that relate to the concepts we are covering in class.

The final project should be submitted in Canvas.
All the chapters should be included in ONE DOCUMENT and should be formatted as an M.

The final project is due by Feb. 28th.
